What is E-Waste?

"To halt the decline of an ecosystem, it is necessary to think like an ecosystem."
Douglas P. Wheeler, EPA Journal, September-October 1990
According to HGTV Canada, "Electronic waste consisting of any discarded electronic appliances. Some hazardous materials contained within these appliances need special care when being disposed of as they can leak into groundwater or get incinerated and create toxic air pollution.".
To us, e-waste is anything that takes an electric current that your company no longer needs. This includes outdated, broken, and surplus equipment. According to the Electronic Waste Recycling Act, it is illegal to improperly dispose of several hazardous substances, such as those found in CRT monitors.
Our goal during e-waste pickups is to assist you in the removal of all undesired electronics without affecting the daily flow of your business. We offer this at no charge as a service. What separates us from our competition is our completely free data removal service. If your pickup contains hard disk drives, storage tapes, floppies, or any other medium for sensitive information, we will destroy or format every last bit of information. We do this, of course, with certification, so that the liability is no longer on your end.
If you have items that are stacking up, we would love for you to fill out our E-waste Pickup Request Form. The information you provide us will be forwarded to our e-waste staff, who will contact you within three business days. They will then route our truck in the most efficient way possible to your business for an equipment pickup.
Together, we can save the environment.
